What Is an Evangelist Ordination Certificate?

An evangelist ordination certificate formally records the ordination of a person to the office of evangelist by a church or denomination. Evangelists are ordained ministers with a specific calling to proclaim the Gospel — typically through crusades, revivals, outreach events, street evangelism, and mission work. The certificate includes the evangelist's name, the ordaining church or denomination, the specific office conferred, the date of ordination, and the authorising signatures of church leadership.

All fields are fully editable in our online editor — change any wording, add your church name and seal, upload scanned signatures, and download a print-ready 300 DPI PDF, PNG, and JPG with no design software needed. Try editing free now — no sign-up required →

Frequently Asked Questions — Evangelist Ordination Certificates

An evangelist ordination certificate formally records the ordination of a person to the office of evangelist by a church or denomination. It includes the evangelist's name, the ordaining church or denomination, the office conferred, the date, and authorising signatures. It serves as official proof that the person has been recognised and set apart for evangelistic ministry.

A licensed evangelist is at an intermediate stage — they are authorized to evangelize under the oversight of their ordaining church or pastor, but have not yet received full ordination. A fully ordained evangelist has completed the ordination process and is recognised as an ordained minister in their tradition. Our templates cover both.

Evangelist ordination is practiced in Assemblies of God, Church of God (Cleveland, TN), Four Square Gospel, Southern Baptist, and many independent Pentecostal and charismatic churches. The International Pentecostal Holiness Church (IPHC) and the United Pentecostal Church International (UPCI) both have formal evangelist recognition processes. All our templates are fully customisable for any of these traditions.

Yes — editing is completely free, no account or credit card required. Open any template above, customise the evangelist's name, church, date, role, and signatures, and preview the result at no cost. You only pay when you are ready to download the 300 DPI PDF, PNG, and JPG.

For example: "This is to certify that [Full Name], having shown a call to evangelistic ministry, was ordained as an Evangelist by [Church Name] on [Date]." 2 Timothy 4:5, "Do the work of an evangelist," fits well.

Yes. Upload the ministry or church logo, add the ministry name under the person's name, and edit every line before you download.

Customize the design once, then choose how to pay. With a one-time purchase, each download is for one name, so you buy the design again for each person. With the Issuer plan, you save your design and issue it to every name on your list: change the name, download, print and repeat, with no charge per certificate. Each one also gets a verification link and QR code. To upload a CSV list and get every certificate at once, choose Academy Pro.

If you need one or two certificates, buy the design once for each name. If you need three or more, the Issuer plan usually costs less: one monthly price covers every name on your list, and one design is included through the Free Pass. You can subscribe for the month of your service or event, issue every certificate, then cancel. You won't be charged again after you cancel, but a payment that has already gone through is not refunded. See the cost for your number of names on certificates for multiple names.

Every design downloads as a 300 DPI PDF, PNG and JPG in US Letter or A4 size, so it fits a standard certificate frame or folder. Print it at home or at a print shop on heavy card stock or parchment paper.

Yes. Edit and preview it online now. The files download as soon as you pay, so you can print the same day.
